Job Description: The Accounting Assistant will assist the CFO and Development Director with accounting related tasks. This role includes the input and balance of tuition entries into the FACTS system and assist with enrollments when necessary. The accounting assistant is responsible for incidental billing on student accounts, reconciliations, and some payroll functions. Management of the school store is also a part of this role.
Required Personal Qualities: Must be member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Must enroll their children in Rocky Bayou Christian School or approved Christian venue. Must be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement. Must demonstrate proficiency with the computer programs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required. Punctuality, critical thinking skills, a good attitude, and the ability to prioritize tasks is essential. A basic knowledge of accounting is preferred.
