Rocky Bayou Christian School has a summer program to fit the needs of  students of every age.  Whether you are looking for a fun way to spend your summer in our Summer Day Camp or want to sharpen your Science or Fine Arts skills, RBCS has a program that will make your summer fun and educational and help you grow in your journey with God. The current camp offerings for the 2016 summer are listed below.  Please note, only the two Day Programs require a registration fee.  You may pay your camp fees online via credit/debit card by visiting our shop  and selecting your desired camp, or in person with a check or cash at our Summer Programs Office.

Summer Programs Cancellation and Refund policy

  • In order to receive a refund of program fees paid (minus $10 processing fee), Summer Day Camp/ Kinder Knight registrations must be cancelled 72 hours before the scheduled start date. Within 72 hours of the start date, paid program fees are nonrefundable.
  • Specialty camp payments are refundable (minus $10 processing fee) up to 1 week before camp start date. Within 1 week of the start date, specialty camps fees are nonrefundable (Ex. camp starts on a Monday, you must cancel by close of business the Monday prior).
  • All refunds will be issued via original means of payment. Cash payments will be refunded via check.

Summer Day Camp

A faith based day camp of recreational, developmental, and educational activities with two campuses: Niceville and Destin. Our caring staff will provide a high-quality, Christ-centered camp that includes daily Bible lessons, and weekly trips to The Track, Bowling, Goofy Golf, Roller Skating, and Field Trips/Activities.  We also offer swim lessons with certified instructors and recreational swimming supervised by certified lifeguards.     Bring:  Each child should bring a towel, swimsuit, SPF-15 (or better) sunscreen, and tennis shoes in a carry-all bag. Please mark ALL possessions/clothing with your child’s name or initials. Lunch:  Each child attending a full day camp should bring a sack lunch and drink daily. Soda, juice, and snacks may be available for purchase.                                                  Costs: Camp payments are due weekly, by Monday, one week prior to the camp start date. If program fees are not paid one week prior to camp start date, a $10 late fee will be assessed. A one-time registration fee will be charged at completion of the application.  This is non-refundable.

Kinder Knights

Kinder Knights Educational Program (KK): A summer, academic-enrichment program for preschoolers.  Each week, there is educational instruction and a variety of other activities such as crafts, activity centers, and occasional trips to the Niceville Children’s Water Park and the Niceville Library Story Time.  Parents will receive an information packet with more specific information on Day 1.

2016 Athletics

The Foundry Sports Camp

The Foundry sports camp is a recreational sports camp for children of all ability levels. Campers will get to participate in team sports, including basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, and baseball/softball. All of this takes place in an environment that stresses a Biblical worldview of sportsmanship, teamwork, and play. Campers will have a choice of which two sports they would like to attend each day. Each day campers will also have the opportunity to earn STEEL Bands. The Foundry camp is an ideal setting for a life-changing, fun-filled adventure. Cheerleading Camp

Mitey Knights Cheerleading camp is an exciting time to learn new cheers and a pom-pom routine, review technique, practice jumps, and work on stunt building.  Participants will receive a cheerleading t-shirt, a hair accessory, daily snacks and a craft.

2016 Fine Arts

Jazz Band

JAZZ BAND CAMP is open to any intermediate or advanced music student who wants to play jazz music.  The students will learn to play styles in the blues, swing, ballads, and rock styles.  Students will also learn how to improvise and create their own jazz riffs.

Beginning Band Lessons

Explore band instruments to find out which one is the best fit for your children. They will take thirty-minute lessons twice a week through the month of July to prepare for entering the band in the upcoming school year.

Worship Dance Camp

WORSHIP DANCE CAMP will allow students to experience the world of praise and worship dance through lyrical and creative movement.  The students will have fun as they learn to express their love of God through their hands, feet, and hearts.  Encourage your child to attend and to bring his or her individual talents to this camp.

Drama Camp

DRAMA CAMP: Come join a two week Christian drama class that includes an introduction to drama theory, drama games, and end with the performance of Christian themed vignettes. There are two different camps for 7th-12th grade and two different camps for 4th-6th grade. Each two week camp will be uniquely different. We will end each camp with a performance in the RBCS chapel.

Art 1

ART 1 CAMP students will experiment with different art media, such as cartooning, pencil drawing (monochromatic, colored pencil), water color and chalk/pastel, developing their God-given talents for Him and His glory.  They will learn and utilize the elements of art and principles of design.  Their adventures will take them to foreign lands where they will be introduced to a variety of artists and explore new cultures.  Join in the adventures of experiencing the beauty of the Master Artist, our Heavenly Father and Creator of all!

Studio Art\AP Art Prep Camp

In Studio Art Camp students experiment and choose to develop a specific art medium for the honor and glory of the Lord. The elements of art and the principles of design are integrated in all works produced. Media to choose from are drawing, painting, and polymer clay. Come join in this fun and relaxing exploration of God’s creation through art.

AP ART Prep Camp is designed to aid all AP students in getting an early start on their AP art portfolio requirements for the new school term in a Christ-honoring environment.  The sessions will also provide special assistance and instruction for first-time AP art students.

Camp College

CAMP COLLEGE:  This camp is a wonderful opportunity for rising seniors to get their college applications completed during the summer to be ready to submit them to colleges in the early fall. The activities will include completing a common application for private colleges, two polished essays, and a resume. Students will also receive instruction in completing a college search and doing college comparisons. Students will have an opportunity to hear a panel discussion of real college representatives talk about the application process.  The camp fee includes the ACCEPTED! college planning workbook and college application, essay, and resume forms.

College Algebra Prep/ CLEP

COLLEGE ALGEBRA PREP/CLEP: Do you want to make sure you are ready for College Algebra? Or do you just want to refresh your skills to help CLEP the course? If you answered yes, then College Algebra Prep or CLEP is for you! You will receive twenty hours of instruction time that will cover the complete scope of College Algebra from a College Algebra teacher with over 25 years experience! This brand new camp is designed to help recent graduates who are facing College Algebra this fall. Please sign up as soon as possible. We need a minimum of 4 students for this class to make. .

Crazy Scientist

CRAZY SCIENTIST CAMP:  In this camp, students will observe the secrets of living things and everyday matter unfolding before their eyes. There will be some dissection, smoke, bangs, color changes, and flashes of light to observe.

Crazy Robotics (Beginner)

CRAZY ROBOTICS CAMP (Beginner):  In this fun camp, students will learn about robotics, which is the science of designing, building, and using robots to perform tasks.  Each student will help design and build several robotic projects using Lego blocks. This camp will introduce programing as far as age and interest allow.

Crazy Engineering (Nuts & Bolts)

CRAZY ENGINEERING CAMP (Nuts & Bolts):  In this camp, students will build model airplanes designed for the longest flight, will build bridges for the most weight bearing capacity, and will construct mouse trap cars to go the farthest distance.  Students will also do an electronic project with flashing lights.
