Search and Teach
SEARCH is a screening given to all RBCS students who are between 5 and 6 years old. This service is provided in an effort to identify students susceptible to learning difficulties; especially in the area of reading.
TEACH prioritizes pre-reading tasks from simple to complex and organizes them into a practical plan of five clusters as determined by the results of the SEARCH test.
NILD Educational Therapy®
NILD Educational Therapy® is designed to give individualized help for each student. The focus is to strengthen learning deficits and help students perform better in class. NILD therapy students become competent, confident learners. They gain mastery over their cognitive vulnerabilities and hone their cognitive strengths for success in the classroom and in life.
This program involves the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders such as difficulty in articulation, receptive and/or expressive language deficits. Students meet with our in-house Speech-Language Pathologist for therapy.
Occupational and Physical Therapy
Occupational and Physical Therapy are offered on the RBCS Niceville campus through an external provider. It involves the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of fine motor development, neuromusculoskeletal, and/or sensory integration that may affect handwriting and daily living activities.
