Alumni Spotlight: Chesed Turner (Class of 2022)

Meet Chesed Turner, Class of 2022 — a proud Rocky Bayou Christian School graduate whose passion for the arts and love for Christ continue to shine brightly beyond her time at RBCS.

During her years at Rocky, Chesed made an incredible impact across campus. She served as volleyball captain, performed on stage in theater productions, sang with the chamber choir, represented her peers in Student Government Association, and was even crowned Homecoming Queen. Chesed also made history as the first RBCS graduate to receive Honors in Fine Arts, setting a high standard for future students in the arts.

Now pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, Chesed’s talent and dedication have led to remarkable opportunities. She has performed in productions such as The Sound of Music, Anastasia, and Funny Girl, and has earned top honors at NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing). Most recently, she was featured in one of Alabama’s biggest Christmas shows, a testament to her growing success in the performing arts world.

Beyond her accomplishments, Chesed remains grounded in her faith. She attributes her success to keeping Christ at the center of all she does and encourages current students to do the same.

“Keep Jesus at the center of all you do,” Chesed shares. “When you pursue your passions for His glory, He will open doors you never imagined.”
