At Rocky Bayou Christian School, 7th-12th grade is known as the Academy. The Academy offers a variety of Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, online and honors classes in addition to the traditional and special services classes. The curriculum is established to ensure that a complete biblical worldview is achieved for each student, everyday. Students are able to be placed in classes that challenge them at every academic level. Our primary focus remains on helping your student reach their fullest, God-given potential.
The Academy offers several unique programs that foster success during your student’s time at Rocky.
Jan Term allows 9th-12th grade students to spend the first two weeks of second semester off campus participating in an internship while 7th-12th grade students have the opportunity to serve on a mission trip or experience an international trip.
Leadership Trek develops the character and skills of a servant leader in high school-aged students. These students have the opportunity to learn from Godly professionals what it means to fulfill God’s calling in their lives while impacting the world at the same time.
Round Tables are used to partner a group of students with a Christian mentor. Meeting together on a bi-weekly basis for the duration of their time in the Academy, these groups establish deeper relationships between staff and students, enabling them to do life with one another and discuss relevant topics related to how to live in the world without becoming like the world.
Curriculum: ABeka, Saxon, and Bob Jones

A Message from Tony Clymer, RBCS Academy Principal
Welcome to the Academy! I have had the honor and privilege of serving as the Academy Principal for two years. I have over twenty years of experience in public and private Christian education as coach, teacher, and administrator. I have a passion for Christ and a desire to see young men and women discover their gifts and talents. As the principal at the Academy, I want to encourage and challenge students to learn to think critically and carry the skills they learn here into the world as ambassadors for Christ. The teachers and staff at the Academy are passionate, caring, and equipped to partner with parents to provide your students with a Christ-centered worldview. We welcome you to our Academy family.
