Academy English Teacher, Niceville Campus

(7th-12th grade; capable of teaching Middle School and High School English Composition, Literature, and Grammar, All levels of learners)

Full-time, 10-month position, Aug 1, 2019-June 5, 2020. $24,434 is the starting 10-month salary; however, pay will be adjusted based on experience and degrees. Healthcare benefits package available. 50% tuition discount for all students enrolled at RBCS.

Job Description: The teacher will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Teach all subjects assigned in the designated grade, adhering to the course instruction as prescribed in the Curriculum Guide. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities. Keep proper discipline in the classroom and on the school premises. Follow prescribed school policy for discipline procedures. Employ a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide or creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Teacher will strive to accommodate all children to meet their respective needs in the classroom.

Required Personal Qualities: Must be a member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Must enroll their children in Rocky Bayou Christian School or approved Christian venue. Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.

Job Requirements: Must possess minimum of Bachelor’s degree in English, Secondary Education, or related field, or have Bachelor’s degree with 18-semester credit hours in specialty. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement, according to RBCS requirements. Must demonstrate proficiency in the computer programs classroom/school management. Needs working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Database software. Must have ability to use technology in lesson plans- such as projectors, iPads, and online videos.


All-Campus Librarian

Full-time, 12-month position, Jun 6, 2019 – Jun 1, 2020. Annual salaried position; starting at $24,434. Pay will be adjusted based on experience and degrees. Hours will be 40 per week. Healthcare benefits package available. 50% tuition discount for all students enrolled in RBCS.

Job Description: The Librarian shall be a confessing Christian who maintains an active personal relationship with Christ as Savior and Lord. The Librarian will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. The Librarian will be responsible for monitoring students in the library and in study halls, maintaining the library, cataloging and processing library material, circulating library material, and aiding the IT Specialist in various other tasks. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout duties and activities. Employ a variety of research methods and materials that will provide aide to or reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Keep proper discipline, in line with prescribed school policies, within the library and on the school premises.

The Librarian shall have a four-year college degree, or adequate work experience as a librarian, or meet the standard as required by FACCS for accreditation. The Librarian shall possess basic computer skills and be adaptive to learning new computer software programs, Programs used included, but are not limited to, RenWeb, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and various datasbase programs. The Librarian shall be physically and mentally able to perform essential functions and basic duties of position, as described below, in a timely and efficient manner. The Librarian should be capable of lifting 10-15 lbs alone. The Librarian shall have a sense of calling by God to the Librarian profession.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science required, graduate degree preferred. Some library/school media experience with school-aged children and young adults is required. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement. Must demonstrate proficiency with the computer programs used in library. Working knowledge of RenWeb, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Database software. Must have ability and adaptability to use technology for cataloging, digital development and setup of college webinars/course instruction videos. Proficiency in MimioTeach desired.


Network Administrator/Computer Technician

Full-time 12-month position, salary, $25,000 to 30,000 commensurate with experience.  Healthcare benefits available.

Essential Functions

  • The Network Administrator/Computer Technician shall:
  • Maintain computers: Defragment hard drive, run check disk, remove dust from inside computer, set computers up for best performance, and upgrade software.
  • Computer repair: Diagnose software and hardware problems and replace parts as necessary. Computer setup: Install M.S. Windows and Office, Adobe Acrobat, AVG, RenWeb, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, Kid Pix, Accelerated Reader, on computers when required. Setup M.S. Outlook.
  • Monitor Maintenance Requests in the School Database.
  • Move Computers and monitors as needed.
  • Cooperate with the Board and administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
  • Complete computer upgrades to include hard drive, memory, etc.
  • Inventory computers, monitors, and projectors.
  • Assist, when required, with network and phone line installation, trouble shooting, and repair.
  • Firewall -Maintain Firewall to include setup of access rules, configuration maintenance, system patch updates, virtual private network access, and daily threat assessment. Stay current with Child Internet Protection Act requirements.
  • Server -Maintain multiple Servers with various Operating Systems (i.e. Microsoft, Linux, Apple). Manage an active directory domain, dynamic host configuration, domain name system and resource sharing.
  • Network -Manage TCP/IP based network, control IP address space, wire closet configuration, and maintain trend analysis of network utilization for troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • Client Computers -Create/Maintain standard client computer configuration in support current computing requirements and school policy.
  • Telephony –Add/Remove phone numbers/voice mail accounts. Establish new cable runs to support customer requirements. Fault isolation/troubleshoot existing connectivity.
  • Video –Install/Maintain Audio/Visual equipment.
  • Intercom –Configure/back up bell schedule, maintain current time, backup Valcom devices.
  • Fire Alarm –Coordinate with contractor to support communication infrastructure requirements.
  • Planning -System, equipment, and application deployment scheduling. Document life cycle planning
  • Ensure that security, web filtering, and virus protection is in place for the campus network.
  • In coordination with the IT Specialist/System Analysist, plan for future expansion and development of network and other technology on campus.
  • Plan for and ensure that the backup and archiving plan is executed.

Bus Driver

Substitute drivers and Route drivers (10 month position, Aug 1-June 1); $30 each route (AM or PM); $60 both routes (AM and PM). Hours: 6:00am – 8:00am and 3:00pm – 5:00pm (based on route).

Job Description: Responsible to ensure assigned bus is mechanically sound to drive route; pick-up/drop off assigned students safely and in compliance with all DOT rules and regulations and safety guidelines. Ensure accountability of all assigned students; ensure order and discipline is maintained on bus.

Job Requirements: Current Commercial Drivers’ License Class B (CDL) (with air brakes) or willing to get trained and take test to obtain CDL. (Training would be accomplished as soon as possible.) Medical physical required to obtain CDL license. RBCS reimburses all fees upon completion and passing of all tests. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement.


Substitute Teacher, K5-12th grade (short and long-term)

Part-time, 10-month position, Aug 1-Jun 1; $10/hr pay rate. Non-specific bachelor degree is required. Hours on school days: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Substitute will follow guidance from teacher on integrating biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout all activities.  Substitute will keep proper discipline on the school premises, follow prescribed school policies for discipline procedures, and employ a variety of given instructional aides, methods, and materials to provide creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.

Required Personal Qualities:  Must be a member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy.  Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.  Children must be enrolled in a Christian education venue.  Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Demonstrates proficiency in the computer programs used to update student grades, and Database software. Ability to use technology for regular communication.  Must have children, if applicable, enrolled in Christian Education.
