(7th-12th grade; capable of teaching World History, U.S. History, and Government/Economics)
Full-time, 10-month position,–Aug 2018-June 2019. $24,434 is the starting 10-month salary; however, pay will be adjusted based on experience and degrees. Healthcare benefits package available. 50% tuition discount for all students enrolled at RBCS.

Job Description: The teacher will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Teach all subjects assigned in the designated grade, adhering to the course instruction as prescribed in the Curriculum Guide. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities. Keep proper discipline in the classroom and on the school premises. Follow prescribed school policy for discipline procedures. Employ a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide or creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Teacher will strive to accommodate all children to meet their respective needs in the classroom. Must be able to teach course instruction for multiple history/government subjects.
Required Personal Qualities: Must be member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Must be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. Must demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
Job Requirements: Must possess minimum of Bachelor’s degree in History, Secondary Education, or related field, or have Bachelor’s degree with 18-semester credit hours in specialty. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement, according to RBCS requirements. Must demonstrate proficiency in the computer programs classroom/school management. Needs working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Database software. Must have ability to use technology in lesson plans- such as projectors, iPads, and online videos.
