Job Title: Crestview Campus Temporary Elementary Teacher, 1st-6th grades
Full-time, 2-month position, Aug 1, 2018 –Sept 28, 2018; $4,887 is the 2-month salary.
Job Description: The teacher will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Teach all subjects assigned in the designated grade, adhering to the course instruction as prescribed in the Curriculum Guide. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities. Keep proper discipline in the classroom and on the school premises. Follow prescribed school policy for discipline procedures. Employ a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide or creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.
Required Personal Qualities: Member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree that includes 18 semester credit hours in education. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement. Demonstrates proficiency in the computer programs used in classroom. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Database software. Ability to use technology in lesson plans, such as projector, iPads, and online videos. Proficiency in MimioTeach desired.
