Our Kindergarten program is open to students beginning at age 3. We have K3, K4, K5 and a special needs option available. Kindergarten at Rocky is designed to teach your student. Our program is not a daycare and your student will be challenged academically. In fact, most students finish K4, reading!

At Rocky, your student will be introduced to cursive. In today’s day and age, most people wonder why we would do that when many other schools consider cursive to be unnecessary. Over the years, studies have shown that cursive writing makes students work both sides of the brain at the same time. This is just one small Rocky difference. There are many things we do with your little one to make sure they are not only prepared for elementary, but will excel.

We believe play time is an important part of a student’s academic growth. When combined with hands-on activities, stem work, music, art, and other core academic subjects, they are provided the most well rounded education possible.

A Message from Crystal Murray, RBCS Niceville Campus, Kindergarten Director

Welcome to Kindergarten! I have taught at Rocky Bayou Christian School for the past five years, and have had the pleasure to serve as the Kindergarten Director for the past two years.  I have over 18 years of experience in both public and private Christian schools, with a focus in kindergarten for 13 of those years.

It is my desire to serve the Lord faithfully by raising up the next generation to know Christ and to use their strengths and talents for kingdom purposes.  As Kindergarten Director, I consider it a great privilege to partner with parents to shepherd young hearts and minds.  Our kindergarten team of  teachers are dedicated to provide a safe and nurturing environment that trains students in righteousness and instills a love of learning.  Our focus is to equip these young students for the future that God has prepared for them.

I encourage you to take a tour of our campus.  You will be able to observe in classrooms and see first- hand the quality teaching of our staff, as well as the implementation of a Biblically-based curriculum.   You can discover the difference a passion for Christ, a safe environment, and an integrated Biblical worldview can make in the lives of your children!
