Spiritual formation is an important part of a student’s growth. That is one reason why on Thursdays, Academy students, faculty and staff have a time dedicated purely to worship and giving thanks to God. Students get the opportunity to sing, read scripture, and pray together. Guest speakers and local area pastors are regularly brought in to give testimonies to our student body. Our student-led Praise Band also leads worship, which gives students another way of getting involved.
Much like small group Bible study, RBCS also has Round Tables. When students enter the Academy, they are assigned to a group of 6-10 students who are the same grade and gender. That group is led by a faculty or staff member who will remain with them throughout the remainder of their RBCS experience. On Round table Thursdays, students meet with their round tables for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. This small group environment also gives each student a faculty or staff member that will act as a mentor, fostering that spiritual formation, to them during their time in the Academy.
